Problem with my Conia M-131 please help, PLEASE!

I got a Conia M-131 DVD player in Australia this player is made in China has just about everything 3 zooms, DTS, Dolby D, all decoded, all zones a top remote easy to use menus, two built in games and starts playing movies fast and with excellent quality but there is one problem it doesnt matter weather Im playing a DVD svcd vcd or even a cd through the player the image or backround always turns black and white even if I turn it on and leave it on for a minute without a cd in it the setup menu or the dvd player screensaver will turn black and white aswell thus making the dvds play in black and white it doesnt generally turn black and white straight away it mostly takes a couple of minutes.
Iv tried it on three different TV's and the same thing happens all the time even if I punch in multi region codes and turn the tv to pal ntsc or secam Iv hooked it up in a couple of VCRs aswell and the same thing happens I recently took it back to the place I bought it and they say that nothing is wrong with it and I dont have a reciete to get my money back either so Im basicly screwed if there is a problem with it Iv tried everything I can think of to fix the problem and nothing seems to work.
I would greatly appreciate it if any one can help me out.
