Does anyone know if there is a Region Code hack for the Symphonic DVD/VCR WF802?

Looking for it also; I bought it a Wal*Mart at $75.00 USD, grat price for X-mas present..... but I would like to play R2 & R4 on it....

Just found out that the main company assembling this unit is "Funai Corp." and symphonic WF802 is the cheaper version of the Emerson EWD2202 & Sylvania DVC800C...

But havn't found their hack codes either..... found out how to enter to the main memory to see the firmware and region... just press 1,2,3,4 & display...

Does it play VCD on CD-R/RW at all>?

Haven't try it out yet... the manual doesn't say it can... But since it was built on China I beleive it can.... I will try it out, and post the results..

I tried playing a VCD and SVCD. Could not get either to work. I too would be interested in knowing if its possible to work around this, and get it to play atleast a VCD. SVCD would be nice as well, but if VCD is all it can play, I would be satisfied.
