    it recognizes the ~700 mb .avi file as an MP3 and plays the visualizations
    instead of the video? I have all current and past codecs (ie divx. 5.02, 4, 3.1, etc.). Why would some vids just not play? Suggestions?

    Which version do you have the latest beta I downloaded has a tough time playing MPEG-2s on my XP platform. I am glad my ADS IDVD bundled PowerDVD with it.

    I'm using WMP version 8, it's not the version 9 beta that everyone is having problems with.

    well, I tried viewing it in Power DVD and it works, what do you know?
