DVD player woes-APEX 7701 = *POS* Need new player, Help : )

Ok, the Apex 7701 is the biggest POS i have ever owned. I sent it back to them for repairs and now it's worse. I tried the DVD player comparison on this website and it's very helpful, but it does not allow me to find out which players support Dolby 5.1 (very important to me). So if you would be kind enough to make suggestions for what player i should buy, i would really appreciate it. This is what I need:

SVCD/VCD/DVD-R playback
Dolby 5.1 output is a MUST (I own a dolby 5.1 system so i shouldn't need *decoding*
Price Range= Under 500$
Brand does not matter, as long as it will last and look good
This is for a home entertainment system in a large room

best player out there... all the compatiblity of the pioneer 343/333 but multi-disc. Best price anywhere too... took me a while to track that one down.

plays all my vcds, svcds, xsvcds, etc.
