HI I HAVE A FILM I D/LOADED SHREAK TO BE EXACT.THE PROB IS I CAN,T CREATE A SVCD WITH TMGE OR NERO BECAUSE THE FILE(ALTHOUGH IT OPENS AND PLAYS WITH DIVX FINE IF YOU TEEL IT WHERE TO GO)HAS THE EXTENTION OF ONLY FILE INSTEAD OF VIDEO OR MPEG.TRIED PROPERTIES AND ALWAYS OPEN WITH THIS PLAYER BUT STILL NO JOY.ANY HELP WOULD BE A JOY AS I HAVE BEEN KICKING
    MY CAT ALL OVER THE PLACE TRYING TO SORT THIS OUT.

    did you try to rename it as file.avi ?

    then load file.avi into tmpgenc ..

    get movieID (from www.divx-digest.com) or gspot (here in the tools) to id what the file is. I'm pretty sure they'll work without knowing the extension and tell you if it's an mpeg, avi or not a movie (and give you details of the codec and such).

    Actually, if it has no extension at all maybe it's a macintosh file. that would make it quicktime or mpeg, I'd think.

    Go Mac! Yeah most movies on a mac open through quicktime including divx and anything else you can think of except .wma and .asf. Plus .mpeg files are assosiated with Quicktime as well.
