  1. I was having a problem with TMPGE freezing so installed the NIMO pack. Now TMPGE wont open my file saying its unsupported or not recognized. It opened it before. Is there some special way I have to get TMPGE to work with NIMO?
    Thanks

  4. Sorry, properites say divixmpeg4. Heres whats been happening and what just happened. For the past two days I have trying to use TMPGE to convert this file to mpeg. Each time it gets to 70% then freezes. TMPGE/Windows media player will play the file fine. Another poster asked me about the NIMO coded. I installed that and not TMPGE say the file is not recognized or supported. I uninstalled Nimo and reinstalled divix coded 3.1,4 and 5 now it opens in TMPGE fine and will play. Im just affraid it will freeze at 70 % again. What do I have to do to get the NImo coded to work?
    Thanks

Have you checked the file you are trying to encode for bad frames.

  6. If you had read this guide:

    http://www.vcdhelp.com/tmpgenc.htm

then you would have found this:

    Problems:
    Some common TMPGEnc problems:

If you get an error message when opening the video or audio like file unsupported
or you get an empty(black) video preview window
or the video look wierd in the video preview window like green or purple or pink
Be sure that you have installed the DivX Codecs (both DivX 3.11, 4 and 5) and also try with the Nimo Codec Pack. If that does not work try to change the codec reader settings in TMPGEnc under Option->Environmental settings->VFAPI plug-in and right click on the DirectShow Multimedia File Reader and increase the priority to 1 or 2 and try open the video.

  8. I did see that help file. I have all three divix codecs installed and set my enviromental settings. Once I installed Nimo it wouldnt open. I used a program to check it for errore, none were found. I'll try the frame serv method next.
    Thanks

  9. jrv331,

I apologize for assuming you hadn't read it. You could also try unticking the DirectShow Multimedia File Reader box in your TMPGEnc Environmental Settings - apparently it does help since it would allow other (more appropriate) codecs to do the job instead of DirectShow Filters when they fail (assuming you HAVE GOT the appropriate codec).
