    I am thinking about byuing a DVD Player soon and I wanted to know if a player supports VCD's, does it automatically support SVCD? Because if they do, then I might as well create SVCD instead.

    Generally SVCD is better than VCD.

    But if it supports VCD that does not mean it supports SVCD.

    Best bet is too look in the dvd player compatability section.
