I don't have sound, file was encoded using TMPGEnc???

Ok need your assistance on this one

I just got this great DVD rip movie currently in Avi format about 700MB size and around 1h and 30min long. It has amazing quality so I decided to make a VCD so that I can watch on my TV. First thing I do is scan the file using Virtual Dub for any errors then using TMPGEnc I decided to cut it in half and using their VCD HTSC Film template to converted into MPEG file. Now I've done this process many and many times before and never had any trouble but this is my first time working with DVD rip movies and I'm not sure if I should follow the same steps as any other regular movie.
Ok so what happes during the encoding
-First it took exactlly 30hours to complete only one half of the movie
(I didn't use any filters and it never before took that much time ussualy takes around 4-5 hours )
-And when I open the file there was no sound only the video was working

Ok I looked at this guide and it tells me that I should convert the audio to WAV file and that this file will have large size.
Because my computers hard drive is only 3GB free will this be possible to be done or no

If you have about 3 GBs free space it should be okay. After converting wave will take about 1+ GB then you have 2GBs for 2 parts of mpeg file. But to be sure you might have to dump recycle bin and or temp file just to have a bit more space.

In Vdub select file > File Info
Have a look what was used for the audio !, AC3 ? Ogg Vorbis ? Do you have the codec's ??

In TMPGEnc, you can stop and check the output first !, don't convert the whole lot before discovering the problem.

TMPGEnc
Select options > environmental settings
click the VFAPI plug-in tab
right click the "DirectShow" and select higher priority, do this several times until its at the top with a value of 4

Hi again

Once I coverted the audio into wav file and try to encode the movie using
TMPGEnc the pacing of the movie did not match the audio of the wav file
Is there some function or somethig I can do about this problem in TMPGEnc

If you encode with TMPGEnc, under source frame range you can set audio to start eariler or later. Try to check if audio come before or after video, and how far off, then use this to set up to match video and audio. I think this setting for MS so 60 = 1 sec. (I'm not sure about this)

NOTE try encode only very short clip like 1 min to check. you might have to test like about more than 10 encode but you will get that point where video match audio.
