URGENT - recording from VCD to Tape

hi everyone,

I'm just wondering if anybody would hlep me to convert from VCD into tape (VHS).

I have a wedding film in VCD and I need to put it into VHS.

how do I do it?

Just run your DVD player through your VCR. When you play it on your DVD, hit record on the VCR.

the problem I have is that I played my VCD using my PC. I have a Pinnacle DV Plus (capture card) but I don't know wheather I can convert my VCD into VHS tape.

Please help.....

Well, you have a few options.

1. Some Video Cards have video out on them. You could lower your resolution and play full screen and record from there.

2. Get a analog capture card or upgrade to a card that has both... and follow step 1.

3. Get a DVD player you can hook to a VCR. They are getting very cheap, about $100.00 or less can get you one that will play anything.
(Look at the RCA 5240p - $99.00)

4. Take the CD to a friend who has a DVD and VCR hooked up, and transfer it there.

is there any software that converts the file?
by the way the file is *.dat.

if you know a software that can convert it into avi, it would be great.
