WinProducer + geforce ti-200 pro-vt = NO SOUND :(

P4 1.6
motherboard Asus P4b266 with on-board audio
MSI Geforce 3 ti-200 pro-vt 64 (video in)

My problem
========
I want to capture video from my VCR....When trying to capture with WinProducer i can capture the video but there is no audio at all. When plugging the Line-in i can ear audio so i really dont know why winproducer ignore the audio from my line-in. I try everything possible for almost 10 hours without any progress

- Any suggestion to fix this? ...clues? workaround?
- What's the best software to capture from VCR to DivX ?

Please help me i really need help

Hey Mike,

Most of the users here use virtualdub for their capture. I have a asus v8200 and also got the wincoder/producer cd but to be honest i never even installed it since virtualdub works so well. Sorry i can't help you out much, is their a forum/website for wincoder you could try?

i had the exact same trouble ....

you know what the prob was ??? this will sound dumb ....

dont plug it into the line in, plug it into the mic socket, this is where it looks for the sound from, check your recording volume controls, and the mic box will be ticked, not the line in. Plug into the mic, but be careful, set the recording volume really low .... or it just sounds like a really loud mess

In the mixer properties you need to have just the speaker, wav and the line-in enabled. Anything else enabled will cause a conflict in my case

i had the same problem on a flyvideo 98 capture card, so i use the sound card line in to take the audio from there it work for me, maybe could work for u
