Cannot open video input device VirtualDub

Hi I recently bought a Pinnacle Studio PCTV Rave and it came with PCTV Vision software, altho when I try to use VirtualDub to capture using "How to capture to AVI in realtime and after convert to VCD, SVCD, DVD guide from www.vcdhelp.com", the error i get is that it cannot open vid input device?

What can be wrong?

I had similar problems with a PCTV card but some people have had good success with the native drivers. You may be able to use an older version of the drivers or use the generic drivers in the other forum:

I think your card is on the supported list. However, if you do use these drivers, you may lose functionality of all Pinnacle software (including PCVision app). I did.

Also, make sure that you have only one application open that will access the capture device.
