Recommend a 5-disc DVD changer compatible with SVCD?

I am considering a Sony DVD-NC615 5-disc changer but the reviews here are not conclusive on whether this model can play SVCD (some say yes, some say no). I'm not picky as to brand except I want a 5 disc changer and I NEED SVCD compatibility. Any recommedations?

Well, Panasonic SC-HT75 plays VCD and XVCD with bitrates upto 3000kbps, which is excellent quality and it's 5 disc if you're willing to sacrifice the minimal difference in resolution since you can achieve high bitrates on XVCD....

I purchased Sony 615 US model and it doesn't recognize SVCDs. I also have a portable Panasonic, Raite & Apex 5131 which all recognize my SVCDs. It appears that model sold in UK does recognize SVCDs. I have been able to trick it into playing SVCDs & CVDs. Manual though makes mention of SVCDs in Asian models.
