  1. I can't copy a dat file from cd to my hard drive. Getting a message "Cannot copy ooo file. Invalid MS-Dos Function." What can be the problem? Any solutions !!! Please help.

    Hey Art,

    I had the same problem with DAT files not being able to be copied to my hard drive.

    I am not positive.... but I think I had to change the extension of a file from scsi1hlp.hp to "scsi1hlp.vxd". I have an HP computer, so they probably renamed the extension to "HP" to disable it. If you do a "find"
    on your PC for just the name (not extension), then change it to "vxd", that should do it, (you may need to reboot).

    I just checked my machine, and my file is in the \windows\system\iosubsys
    folder....

    If it doesn't work.... change it back to what it was....

    have u tried clean it up your cd? maybe its dirty or something. I always do that when i cannot copy my dat files
