  1. Hi,

I have a Panasonic DVD-RP91 and when I try to playback a regular burned VCD it plays back in a slight slow motion. The voices sound deeper and abnormal, and the background sound is also slightly slower than normal. My VCD's play back perfectly fine on the computer both in my DVD-ROM and also my CD-ROM on multiple compters. It only plays back slowly on the DVD player. Can anyone tell me what might be wrong under the DVD player settings? I tried changing up the sound properties, but nothing worked.

    Thank you,
    Kristin

what are the specs (rez, framerate) of your VCD?

  3. I do the frame rate at 352x240, 1152 kps. I basically followed the steps on the vcd help page on converting AVI's to MPG's with TMPGEnc. I also recorded digitally with stereo sound, 48 hz, at 192 kps. It sounds fantastic on the computer, but sounds slowed down on the DVD player.

That's the symtom of n XVCD (VCD made with bit rate high enough that the DVD cannot handle).
Check your bit rate and the DVD player compatibility.
