MP2 audio file conversion to wav audio file-How?URGENT

I once did just rename the Mp2 file to MPA files & the job worked fine afterwards. (Using Win On Cd creating a music album)

Thank you for your quick reply.I cannot follow: I ran WINAMP, it is playing the mp2 file- how do I proceed from here to convert to wav file . Please be more specific

hey man, in winamp, goto options -> preferences and then under "plug-ins" goto "Output" and select "Nullsoft Disk Writer plug-in" and this will change whatever file you are playing with winamp to a .wav file, there you go, your question has been answered!

i use a prog called "MP3_2_Wav". it also decodes .mp2's as well as .mp3's. you can select and decode more than one file at a time too.

You can also do it with TMPGEnc
Open your file in audio source, click file>output to file>wave file
