  1. OK...heres my quandry...Do i buy the Pioneer A04 or wait until the A05 comes out. Do I buy the Sony DRU120a because the DRU110a doesnt burn dvd-rs? Do I buy the HP 100i or the 200i? I want to make backup copies of DVDs I already own and want the fastest writer and the most compatible DVDs to be played on my PC and home system. Please help...

I'd wait. You'll never be happy with what you purchase.

  4. I would go with a DVD-R drive if you are backing up movies. The Disks are more readily available and you do not have to screw with Bit settings to make a more compatible disk like with +R/RW. If you want to wait on faster write speeds I would wait until the end of the year.
