Soon my son will be opening up two of his christmas presents....a "naked" laptop and a Windows 10 USB stick.
Any advise once the laptop finds the stick?
Make a c: partition first or will Windows install do that for me?

Windows 10 will install a partition so no need to make one one, just make sure the laptop is set to boot from the usb first.

Unless something changed with Win10, it will show you the drives available (likely only 1 in this instance) and ask you how much of the drive that you want to use (ie: use the entire drive or create partitions), then it will format and install.

  5. the install should be fast& easy it's after that things get funky. There are many things to disable on win10 to keep to your privacy intact and to speed it up aswell.
