  1. Is there a way to look at an MKV video stream to check for a Hardcoded Subtitle. A good example would be Foreign Forced Subtitle sections that have not been included as soft subs but burned in?

    Secondly, if there is also a tool to identify the hardcoded sub and export them to a new ASS/Sup file that could be attached as a soft sub. This is secondary though as a way to quickly identify a hardcoded subtitle is the most important part!!

    I don't think you will find any software to automatically detect hardcoded subs.

  3. That is a pity. You never know when you don't see a soft sub forced track if the file is going to have hard coded foreign language English track of if you are just going to be left guessing what is going on
