    I just got my PDA and i want to play some clips but my pda has only 80meg and i want to run about 300 meg avi file. How do i make high quality avi to low quality avi to make it small size?

    Drop the resolution and bitrate, decimate the framerate.

    If you have a PocketPC (Microsoft-based OS) PDA, use Windows Media Encoder. It will convert .avi to .wmv, and make it any file size you want. it even has extra "profiles" specific to certain PDA's. I have encoded a full-length movie at watchable quality for my PDA in a 100mb filesize. If you are not using a PocketPC, then I don't know what to tell ya. Go to windowsmedia.com, go to the download page for windows media player, and it should be in the drop-down box for selecting a download.

    Did it--works great....(avi to windows media--compresses about an hour to I think around 30 mb)
