  1. Hello everyone.
    I have a question.
    I have a DVD recorder Philips DVDR3440H/58.

    is there any solution to extract to the PC, Ubuntu or better windows, the video recorded on to the HDD?

    read pages 34, 35 and 36
    basically it copy from hard drive to DVD
    then you can copy DVD to PC

    You don't think that he is talking about a dead burner situation?
    It never occurred to you that he is talking about connecting the recorder's hard drive to a computer somehow?

    Burning DVD from hard drive take just 6-10 min, its copying files
    and DVD recorder don't have any direct connection to PC

  6. thank you all, it is correct how understood Hech54, i need to extract videos from the HDD directly connected on my pc, windows, that obviously don't recognize the file system.

    VERY few DVD recorders with built-in hard drive can do what you are asking.
    Mine can....an old Medion (LG clone).....but not too many others.
    LG/Medion instructions/software:
    http://ifndef.altervista.org/index_eng.html

    This WILL NOT work with yours though.
