  1. Hi

I need some recommendations on the above. I have a video based business that I would like to enable customers not only to stream there video on our website but also enable customers to download there video via the media player. i.e. dropbox allows you to do this.

Please could you help recommend sites with this facility that I can embed into my website

  2. Youtube with your channel? But you would have to give your customers your youtube channel password so that they could upload. But I would recommend that you do that on your website anyway if you expect customers to upload their videos.

  4. (half answer)

You can copy the link of YT dwnloaders and add them to url shortener, then when you click on it it will download video from YT server directly with no software needed:
    Orwell: https://goo.gl/Z3mD4v (blocked in YT)
    SOme more: https://goo.gl/jwlMx3 and https://goo.gl/wvxsCo

But it has expire code in and works only few days, will look in to what have to be changed in the code to make it perment
( and in whorst case just need to make batch script on website that runs periodically and updates the url strings with new expire code. That would be lame but will do. )

    Full links that are shortened:
    Will be back when know

  5. I've decided to look at google v Vimeo. The reason I'm reluctant to use youtube is that it doesn't allow customers to download video unless they have additional plugin. I didn't know you could give customers option to download video previously. now that I know you can makes it a potential option. I'm a little concerned that 20GB a week might not be enough if we get really busy. also is that the max amount of storage you are allowed or each week you get that ammount. i.e. if I upload 20GB a week. That will be 80GB a month. after month 2 am I therefore allowed 160GB or is it set to max 20 GB a week (80GB a month)
