Hi
I've edited a video coded with DivX5/mp3 using avi demux to a h264/mp3 video so that my TV can play the movie. Anyways, i only applied changes to the video stream, plain and simply copied the audio from the source file but it is well 30 seconds out of sync when playing it, PC or TV.
I know there is this shift audio function but instead of lipsyncing the movie myself I'd rather reencode it again hopefully fixing the problem as I do so.
Any tips?
Edit: Furthermore, i tried reencoding the whole thing from the source file all over again, synced the audio with 'shift' and checked in a few different parts of the movie, yet after saving it is out of sync again. I didn't miss any apply function now did I? Grr... Also tried isolating the audio stream from the source and to my surprise, audio in the standalone mp3 file had messed up timings _already_.
Would really appreciate some help
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

Post the full details from your source file. Use mediainfoxp.
You could always try reconvert the audio to aac or mp3 again and see if it makes any difference. Instead of using copy mode. -
Well, actually, at first I switched it from original 128 kbps cbr mp3 to 192 kbps cbr, for the sake of not losing anything (as if there was any quality to lose :P). All in all, I tried both ways, I guess I'll try aac as well.
So here are the details:
Video

Anyway, I tried to reencode two movies. The other one went smoothly so I guess I may post the details as well:

I have no idea what I'm doing and I'm completely green but the difference I saw was "Aligned on interleaves" and "Split accross interleaves" for the proper and incorrect reencode respectively. That's as far as my hunch gets me, though.
Audio is still out of sync after using AAC as well.Last edited by sellah; 3rd Sep 2014 at 07:10.

Try another converter like xmedia recode(it can copy the audio stream) or vidcoder(output mkv/mp4).
