  1. Hello,

I got a question. When I encode now a DVD with handbrake to .mp4. And I realize later that I need to add subs, what would be the best way?

Can I use mkvtoolnix and just mux the srt into the file? Won't that change the codec? It saves my file then as .mkv which I don't what, can I change the save to .mp4 without any loss?

Also how can I convert .mp3 audio to .ac3 audio usually 2ch the easiest way without any shareware?

    cheers

It just changes the package, not the codec.,mkv is a better format to mux to anyways.

  5. @johns0: Why if you have mp4 compatible content use mkv?

I just said mkv is a better format to use,i didn't say to use it if it's gonna be used for a ps3 or apple device.Lot of people use mp4 cause that's what they are used to.
