Thread: Network Stream

Thread
  1. I'm using PotPlayer to network stream .M3U files but it always show buffer with number percentage jumping about but playing 1080p MKV files from hard drive is smooth. I'm using wireless connection and I get 9-10MB download speed so I don't think it's a problem.

Use DXVA is checked in video decoder and video render is set to Auto (Recommended)

So what could the problem be?

  2. Did you try the stream with other players? I have a similar issue with some streams but others not.

BTW, there is one good tip for HLS streams.

    MPC-HC, MPC-BE, VLC, SMPlayer etc

    What does this option do?
For example, if you are watching a witch stream with potplayer, you'll be able to go backward within 5 minutes.

  5. PotPlayer and VLC buffers quite often but MPC-BE streams it without hiccups using default settings, from the screenshots below, is my computer using GPU to render the video and not the CPU?
