  1. The question is in the title, I wanted to mux a .mkv softsubed in .ts but when i read the .ts i need to chose to read the subtitles, unlike the matroska. So, is it possible to put subtitles in default on a .ts file ?

I don't think just a ts container support default subtitles.

    Did you use tsmuxer?

  4. Yes but there's no option for this, i thought it'd be done automatically. That's strange, the subtitles are here though.

  5. I've also tried to mux it as a .m2ts but same problem (expectable)

TSmuxer supports only SRT files and Blu-Ray subpictures (SUP). So you first would have to extract the SRT stream from the MKV file.

  7. Are you sure about that ? The software detects the subs anyway, i don't think it'll change anything ^^

Just try and tell us what happens. I will feel happy if you prove I am wrong in this case.

  9. Nop, the subs are still not here.

  10. afaik transport stream doesn't, unlike mkv, have a flag to mark a stream as enforced. (and even if it did, like for mkv it would only be a 'suggestion', nothing more)

The sub will be in the ts as pgs but it won't be enforced, you gotta select it to turn it on,any reason you need to mux it as a ts file?

  14. That's a media server ^^ Nobody wants to make things that complicated just to watch a movie, they just want to insert, read, and run the movie It seems that there's no answer to my question so i won't bother you any longer, but thanks anyway

You've been given answers already, running ums is really simple, just buy a media player instead of using a ps3 since it's very limited playing files through the usb.
