  1. I'd like to use my Adobe and Corel video editing software to create HD DVDs of vacations, etc., but I've been told I need a 'high powered' computer to handle that...my 7 yo Lenovo Vista doesn't like editing in 1080 and converts it to 720 instead----otherwise, both softwears consistantly freeze up. Since Vista is going to be not supported after a bit, I'm wondering exactly what specs my next computer should have in order to be able to use Adobe Premiere Elements and Corel Video Studio to edit HD.

    Pretty much any current quad core will be sufficient. You will want 8GB+ of RAM, and more specifically fast storage. Two HDD's will help as you can read data from one drive and write to the second drive.
