I was wondering what the USA panasonic range was for these years. In Europe we had:
NV-F55
NV-F65
NV-F70
NV-F75
NV-F77
All were 'G deck' (did the USA ever get that?) and had a drop down panel which housed buttons and hid the tape slot from view. The reason I ask is that I am getting some excellent transfers with them - especially as they have a sharpness slider and picture control selector. I hardly (well never) hear this era of Panasonic machines being used in the US for restoration. Indeed the FV-F70 was able to play a VERY problematic tape for me this weekend without the audio breaking up or streaking picture. They are very nice decks - cheap too at around £50 used.
So what was Panasonic selling in the US in that era? Were they any good?
