  1. Hi!

I'm "like" new in this forum, but...

Here you're always helping me with all and everytime.

I installed on my computer new Windows 8.1 and have problem with AmaRecTV (v3.0c and 2.3.1).
I had installed Windows 8 and now in 8.1 is not possible to start it, or I don't know where is problem.
To be sure I deleted INI files of both versions... really I'm confused and desperate.

    Can you help me?

    Thank you for everything!

    Miro

If you are running Windows 8.1 64-bit, do you already have the 64-bit device drivers installed for any capture devices? Do these devices work with other capture software on the same PC?

  5. I had installed Windows 8 ProWMC x64 on old MB - ASUS M3N-HT Deluxe.
I changed MB to ASUS P5Q SE and installed new Windows 8.1 Pro x64.

    Problem is MB?

If any components on the ASUS P5Q SE motherboard were incompatible with Windows 8.1 x64 Pro with Media Center, you would probably be having worse problems than not being able to load AmaRecTV.

Maybe the registry is messed up. Is any other software not loading?

I suspect I had that sort of problem on a Windows 7 system 2 weeks ago. Suddenly nothing video-related would run. Windows Explorer would crash if I tried to open any media file. It was a relatively new OS install. I hadn't made a drive image yet, so I had to re-install Windows 7 to fix the problem.

Latest AmarecTv version is 3.10c, released in July.

The OP said in his first post that he already tried AmaRecTV 3.0c without success. I think that was a typing mistake and he meant v3.10c

  9. About Windows:
With old MB (ASUS M3N-HT Deluxe, AMD Athlon X2 x64) I had installed Windows 8.0 ProWMC x64.
With this MB (ASUS P5Q SE, Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 x64) I have installed Windows 8.1 Pro x64.

Few things I needed to solve, succesfully update Stardock Fences 2.01 which "locks" desktop to 2.11 which solves locking in Win 8.1.
Windows Explorer is not so stable like in Windows 8.0 and freezes often OS.

    Video:
I'll try AmaRecTV 3.10c and will report.
I have else one problem - with one of my USB grabbers - driver which was working in Win 8.0 works not in 8.1 and cannot to find separate files of driver, only setup installer - driver:
AF9035HB BDA Driver - 10.4.26.1 WHQL (if anyone of you knows where to download package - no installer, please give to me link)

    So, I go to try it, I'll b€ b@©k!

  11. Thank you boys! Many thanks!

    AmaRecTV 3.10c works correctly!

Only one last Q: Is possible to run two instances of AmaRecTV 3.10c - separate directories with separate INI files?

I found here always answers and help, thank you for all what you're doing!

  12. Finally: running two instances of AmaRecTV works - needs not different versions like I did it before.

Now I'm using 2 AmarecTV 3.10c with separate configurations in separate folders.
Before this I used AmaRecTV 3.0c and AmaRecTV 2.3.1.

Only one mystery is for me recording with AMV4 codec - reports ICCompressGetFormat - can anybody help me?
