make a visual flip/rotate of image from one scene to the next in avidemux?

hi friends. i'm not sure what the technical name for this is but i'll explain what i want to do: i've got two video clips which i want to join together into one video. where the video changes from one scene to the next, i'd like to somehow fade out of or flip the image from the first scene into the second - if you know what i mean. so that it's neater than just seeing me talking about one thing then suddenly talking about another. does anybody know how to do this is avidemux?

What you want is called a transition. You may need to use an NLE (Non Linear Video Editor) for that. I don't know if AviDemux supports transitions (it's been a while). You can also do it with Avisynth or Virtualdub via filters.

AviDemux removed many of the filters and "transitions" a few years ago.
