Now that my Galaxy S5 can record at 60fps, I need some free video editing software that can handle this.

    Any ideas?

EDIT: It appears Windows Live Movie Maker allows this but only if you create a custom 'Setting'

  2. You want to edit those videos on your Galaxy or on a PC or what? Very few if any free apps that edit videos on Android devices.

Free? Ha, ha. Able to handle Android LongGOP VFR AVC video? Ha, ha, ha, ha. Not going to happen. For some time.

Your best bet is to convert to CFR, ShortGOP video first (via avisynth + encoder, or via ffmpeg). Then maybe a free simple editor might work.

Actually Aviutl can easily handle VFR long GOP AVC footage. I tried editing my Wife's Asus tablet (which uses VFR long GOP AVS) and no problems whatsoever. It was 30p, not 60p however.

Post a short 5 or 10 sec clip and I'll see how it handles it.............
