    - K-Lite Codec Pack
    - MKVToolNix
    - Aegisub
    - Handbrake
    - AviSynth 2.5
    - XviD4PSP 5
    - rebox.NET

    Computer specs.
    - Windows 7 Professional
    - Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 2.4 GHz
    - 4GB RAM

First off, I don't know a whole lot about encoding/transcoding/muxing/etc so please bear with me. I have a .mkv file with .ass subs that I want to embed and ultimately convert into a file that can be played on my PS3. I've tried reading up on the subject but I'm getting overwhelmed. Help will be much appreciated.

Instead of re-encoding with handbrakes just stream the mkv with Universal Media Server to your ps3,just name the sub the same name as the mkv.
    I think,therefore i am a hamster.

Hmmm. I've tried using PS3 Media Server and the quality was less than desirable. It has trouble with this particular file anyway. I'll try and see if that one runs better.

Edit: Yeah, it has the same problem. I think there is something wrong with the subs. The video quality with the default settings was worse than PS3 Media Server.
