    Easy. Get the old plugin qt7plug.dll and copy for this path> C:\Program Files\Sony\Your Vegas version\FileIO Plug-Ins\qt7plug\

    On my PC enable open all mp4+mp3 and Avi + mp3

  6. mp4 and avi are containers that can hold different types of video audio and data information. Mediainfo can tell you more about what is in yours. Your installation sounds messed up. What version are you running? Is it a legal copy?

    yes it was workinf fine until the system I did the system restore I tried reinstalling it several times and no thinking maybe its time for a fresh copy of windows xp anyway

    Before you do that.

    Un-install the program
    Delete all temp files and folders for the program not un-installed as above (usually stored in documents and settings)
    If you can, start reg-edit and delete all references that still exist to the program
    Re-install the program

    But if you have issues with other programs a re-install of the OS may be a quicker option.
