On my old PPC Mac with Mac OS X 10.4 and later 10.5, I ended up saving a good handful of files to PCT. Now I have 10.9, and I can't use them in things like iPhoto. I want to convert them to JPG or something more user friendly. I've searched around for apps that do this, but have come up with a lot of dead ends. Anyone have any solutions? Thanks.

I am not a Mac user, but it seems ImageMagick supports the PCT image format.

As does QT, and Photoshop. Plenty of other Windows apps, also: PSP, Gimp, ACDSee.

I suspect the OP is referring to PICT files which was a format used many, many moons ago. Automator has some canned solutions. Here's one suggestion: http://www.macosxautomation.com/applescript/imageevents/08.html
