    Does anyone know how to save updated values you enter in the Manual Adjustment menu in the Sony DVD player service menu (aka Remocon Diagnosis)?

    I have a Sony DVP-NS975V (an older model, circa 2004). It stopped recognizing or playing SACD and DVD, so I ordered a new DVD mechanism (laser pickup etc) and replaced it myself. I thought it was working perfectly, until I found that it started having an issue with my longest SACD. It gets to a point where it simply stops playing. I am not a technician, but I was trying to make adjustments to the focus gain, and other settings, in the diagnostic menu, but I have not been able to figure out how to save changes that I make. The service manual does not seem to provide complete instructions. This model uses the same diagnostic menu as many other Sony models, you get into it by pressing the Top Menu, then the Clear and then the Power buttons on the remote.
