I put 2048 under "Lock size" and "kbps" automatically go to a negative number. I just ignored that and tried to do the conversion, but I get a conversion time of 14 seconds and no final results.

I want my film to stay with 2 gb, so I put in "lock size" 2048 mb. Ok, but when I start convert, I get this log and no results. What I think may be it is the value of "kbps" be negative, but I don't know why this happens. Is there a minimum amount that I can put in "lock size"?
-
Try and see if it's the audio that causes it. Try change it from copy to some other audio codec.
Or else might Ripbot264 calculate the average bitrate incorrect. You can then adjust the video bitrate manually with help of a bitrate calculator ...if you just know the bitrate for the dts audio track. -
Hey Baldrick, THANKS!
It seems that the change of the audio profile worked for me, the number in "kbps" was positive, about 2000. Moved to the "5.1 FHG AAC-LC 320 kbps [abr]" profile. Now I'm converting the movie, let's see if it will work ...
Now just wanted to understand why this worked, it would be because of the giant size of the type of DTS format I was trying to copy? -
You told it you wanted 2048kbps total, but the DTS-MA audio was already more than that. If you take the DTS-MA bit rate away from the 2048kbps then the video has to be encoded at -1609kbps to make up the difference... Now THAT"S compression!
-
LOL. Atak will have to fix the "feature" a.s.a.p.

Baldrick, follows the specifications of the original film, you can see that it is very big, 11.9 gb, and I think that is because of the dts audio...

You can't see the bit-rate from that MediaInfo output, since both the h.264 video and MA component of the DTS Audio are variable bit-rate. Currently, MKVMerge doesn't log the bps or number of bits and won't until the next version. You'd have to remux the DTS-MA into it's own container to have any idea what the bit-rate is, but since that would include the container overhead, it would only be semi-accurate anyway. MKVInfo -t is the only way to get accurate information about tracks for the moment.

Is this what you need?
