Hi.
I'm pretty new to this website, and not all that great with computers, so don't get to complicated on me!
Every time I insert a Blu-ray clip that I have ripped off a BD disk, or something along those lines into Sony Vegas 12.0,
I get distorted imagery like this
I have rendered it out, and nothing has changed.
Here's an image:
If I can get some advice/feedback on how to fix this, that would be tops.
Thanks!
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

Are those 3D clips? Do you have the project's Stereoscopic 3D Mode set to side by side?
You can verify settings by clicking on File -> Properties on the menu bar. If the clips are not 3D or if they are and you do not want to render 3D SBS, then set Stereoscopic 3D Mode to OFF.

Yes, Brainiac is right, that's what it looks like to me too.
More info, please.

Preview Mode is a rough idea, not accurate. Switch to Best to see what will render.

Just a guess on my part. Maybe the op will provide more details.

That's a codec/encoding issue.
You probably need to convert to another format like AVCHD, Cineform or Mpeg2.
It doesn't surprise me that Vegas has an issue with a ripped BluRay. Since Sony is a media company. -
Also you should change your thread tittle. Your problem has nothing to do with blu-ray. Blu-Rays don't use mp4...........
Got my retirement plans all set. Looks like I only have to work another 5 years after I die........
