Make a part of the video transparent

So I got a video file like this one in the attachment

Someone in this forums have made it for me but the picture on the background ruins it all for me. I want my own media to be shown there.
It will be a transition out of a clip of mine. And when the clip ends you see the zipper splits the screen from the half. At the right side there will be the title of the movie and there will be a credit roll in the right side

I know how to make the text thing but I have no idea how to insert my clip there. Can someone guide me through this?

Take the version with alpha channel (transparency) so you can replace the background. You need lagarith installed. Or you can download the png image sequence in post # 29 if you don't want to install lagarith

Put the zipper video on the top track, your background video on the bottom track

If it's not working the way you envisioned it, or you're having a difficult time inserting the title or credits - it's important to describe EXACTLY what you want - do it with screenshots if you can't use words
