    Hello

I recorded a lecture with my camcorder but had to use the built-in microphone as I couldn't hook it up to the sound board.

    Here's the audio track.

As you can hear, the lecture room itself has a bad acoustics, so there's quite some echo in the audio track.

Can it be improved using eg. Audacity without being a sound expert?

    Thank you.

    French.

Does the language make a difference when doctoring an audio track?

  4. You can use audacity's noise removal to scrub most of the background hiss and rumble which will improve perceived clarity. Then you can play with EQ to minimize some of the more annoying frequencies. It will never be perfect, but certainly understandable.

It was not real clear so I was wondering if it was other than English or if the audio was that bad.

Thanks for the tip. I'll play with those settings, and see if I can merge that new audio track with the original video.
