I have scoured countless forums to find an answer to my infuriating predicament. I have yet to find a question that details what I am experiencing, though I have tried numerous solutions given to people with problems of a similar nature.

Before I import .mp4 files into Vegas they look crisp and perfect:

After I've imported them, the preview pixelates during movement:

And after rendering, the pixelation remains:

    The example .mp4 specs:

    Folder: D:\Project Data\Anime\2014 Spring\One Week Friends
    Type: Sony AVC

I desperately need a solution to this! Cutting around the pixelation adds hours to my video editing time and forces me to use my second and third picks for shots.

    Please and thank you!,

    Becca

You could try MP4Cam2AVI. It will try remux the mp4 to avi. Or convert it to lossless avi. Then import the avi in vegas.
