Hello I just bought a panasonic camcorder that I will have to convert the .mts file to .mp4 to work on Imovie . I just wanted to know if there is much if any
loss in quality in the video and does it retain it's size 1080p (AVCHD) after conversion. After I am done editing on Imovie , what would be the best
and highest quality way to burn onto a dvd for playback on HD tv. Thanks

    XMedia Recode might work.

  5. MkvToMp4 (it won´t reencode your clips, I have used it with Panasonic .mts files and works well)

ClipWrap or MP4Tools may also do the job.
