I have GetFLV and TubeDigger but both cant get it.

I just open the webpage directly in the software interface.

TubeDigger senses a video and posts it and then we can download it. But it senses and shows nothing.

GetFLV shows some text but when clicked Download, it downloads just few bytes of some long file name.

    Thanks for help.

(btw, I successfully used GetFLV to download streaming news from Huffington Post. All played videos had their links shown and I just clicked download.)

TubeDigger works in D-L mode for the vid I tested.

You may have to convert (Fix-flv ticked) for the downloaded file to work properly.

    Which version do you have?

Normally, in my TubeDigger to download a video, it has to appear in the bottom pane.

When I play any video on Daily Motion in TubeDigger, nothing appears in the bottom pane.

    Have you also used GetFLV?

    Thanks.

Well, mine is a very old one, 2.2.2 and never renewed.

But I guess the basic working should be similar.

I have also toggle selected Download (not Record).

Website does load OK and I selected the the video which plays in it.

But the title does not appear in the bottom panel and nothing downloads.

The basic working should be similar but there is no point in updating software unless it fixes or improves anything.

So I guess that the more current versions have 'fixed' that issue.

  7. If you don't want to pay for the upgrade Freemake Video Downloader will grab it.
Watch for the Adware it might try to install. Use 'Custom Install' and decline all the crapware.

It does work till recognizing the pasted video link with its name and size and thumbnail and all.

However, the download never starts. 0.0% and after some time, 'Error'.

Any help would be greatly appreciated please.

I do not know about versions 2x.x.x but I can upgrade my version as and when. In fact there is an update which I have yet to install.

Of course, that may change if version 5.x.x comes along but until then.......

as a video streaming solutions professional , Websites like Dailymotion frequently update their streaming scripts. that's why you need to update your video downloaders... Since these softwares add the new fixes accordingly.

  13. Do I take it Freemake Video Downloader is not downloading Dailymotion videos?
Do you get any error messages when you cut-and-paste the address into it?

I am still using version 3.6.4.1 and it worked earlier. Although the resolutions were not displayed
the various files available were and I clicked the top radio button (usually the highest resolution available).
Only select the download and NOT the 'Convert to AVI' option and you should have an MP4

Version 3.6.4.2 has a new Dailymotion update which I have yet to try. Which version have you installed?

<EDIT> I have just downloaded the latest version (actually 3.6.4.3 according to the file description). Baldrick?
seymoria, I will get back to you when I have tested it.

Same story for the latest version. No resolutions displayed but the files can be downloaded.
Make sure you have .NET 4.0 installed or it probably wont work at all.

    Hi.

Sorry but I just found out that I have to paste the link in it and not open the website directly in it which I was doing previously. So now I can successfully download videos from Daily Motion.

Thanks a lot for your help. And Freemake is great!

However, just to ask you, can Freemake also download from YouTube? I pasted links into it and the download started normally, just like DailyMotion, with it asking me the resolution at which I wanted the file and also the option of conversion to avi or not. But afterwards, the download stalls at 0.0% and there is an error, nothing downloded. Error says 'there is no video at this link.

Any advice on that?Click image for larger version

  18. Yes, it should download most available resolutions from Youtube. All my versions have/do.
To check for .NET Framework got to Start>Control Panel>Programs and Features.
It should be listed there as an installed package. If not go here:

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40779

I have the latest .NET 4.5.1. Everthing appears to work fine.

MassTube is another Youtube downloader to look at. It can grab really high resolutions.

    Hi.

I downloaded .NET but upon installing, it asked me for two options, 'Repair', and 'Uninstall' version 4.5.1. So probably I already have it. I am on Windows 7 Professional.

I will try MassTube and let you know how it fares.

    Thank you.
