  2. does adding 'Info' to the video URL still work in discovering the caption file? I tried it with the following video and the page did not exist.

    http://video.pbs.org/video/2365925930/
    http://video.pbs.org/videoInfo/2365925930/

  3. Use youtube-dl to get the subtitles:
    Template:
    youtube-dl --all-subs --skip-download http of video
    Code:
    youtube-dl --all-subs --skip-download http://www.pbs.org/video/2365925930/
Downloads vtt subtitle file which can be easily converted to srt (with online converter or software).
    Image Attached Files
    • File Type: srt 1.srt (141.6 KB, 159 views)

videoInfo is gone. The caption and video urls are in the source of the portalplayer page. srt url is one digit less (in the right-most numeric value) of the dfxp caption url.

Sorry, I meant to say one digit more, not less.
    dfxp:
    Code:
    http://ga.video.cdn.pbs.org/captions/masterpiece/af1f7056-f978-44e7-9880-1ac314246b90/captions/727823_Encoded.dfxp
    srt:
    Code:
    http://ga.video.cdn.pbs.org/captions/masterpiece/af1f7056-f978-44e7-9880-1ac314246b90/captions/727824_Encoded.srt
