  1. I'm using denoisers and other grain removal filters, but I think my denoising filters are causing the problem. The video distorts usually in scenes like zoom in's. Here's a screenshot:

Does anyone know how I could possibly hide or get rid of these? I'm using avisynth and virtualdub.

  2. What do the frames before and after it look like? I've seen QTGMC() leave artifacts like that occasionally.

The frames after it look just fine, without the distortion. Its usually in zoom in's like that one that cause it. The denoiser's im using is grapesmoother and peachsmoother if it helps.

  4. My question wasn't so much about whether the frames before and after were free of artifacts, but rather whether the artifacts in the bad frame are parts of the picture from those other frames. Some filters that work ok with real video often don't work well with animation.
