My son has this card in his gaming rig and it is a little more 'high end' then I am used to. Wondering if someone could confirm what I think I can do with this card as far as display to monitor(s) go.

What I want: DVI to two monitors, and HDMI to his HDTV

What I think he is stuck with: VGA to one monitor, DVI to one monitor, and HDMI to his HDTV

There is also a displayport output. I have never used this technology but it looks like I may be able to buy a DVI to displayport adapter? Can anyone confirm this for me? Thanks in advance!

    Based on AMD site, YES.

Use of 3 or more displays with AMD Eyefinity technology requires a DisplayPort-capable panel or an AMD Eyefinity validated dongle. See http://www.amd.com/EyefinityDongles for a list of validated DisplayPort dongles.

  3. I have this card. Plug in the two DVI monitors, then get a DisplayPort-to-HDMI adapter for the HDTV. I assume you want to use all three displays simultaneously, with Eyefinity. Disclaimer: I have not used such an adapter, but I have used two DVI displays and an active Displayport->VGA adapter to a VGA-only display, which worked well.

My old card is AMD 6850, 2 DVI monitors + HDMI in LCD TV. Worked.

My atual setup is same but AMD R9 290 TRI-X and work too.
