  1. I have downloaded a few 720p movies which is in mp4 format. they played well on my computer but when I watch on my hd tv, the audio and video are not playing together. they only play well at the first 30 mins, after that, it looks like the audio is playing slower than the video(or maybe vise versa). same thing happened when i play it on my tablet.

mkv video also have the same problem and most of them only happen with 720p. i dont think it happen with 480p.

why did it happened and is there any way to fix it?

Maybe variable frame rate. It may cause problem on such devices.

Post the the details from the video. Use mediainfo, view->text.

I'm still new to all this stuff so please guide me. One more thing, I think the video is the one that is playing faster because the audio and the subtitle are still playing together.

  6. As usual, baldrick hit the nail on the head -- variable framerate.

You should probably go to whomever you bought this from and demand your money back. Then go buy a legal copy.

Break out the book for the television and see what it is capable of playing. My LG and Philips TVs have completely different specs as far as file playability.

You can convert file with VidCoder
    just set to constant framerate.
