I have an old PC on which I still use WinXP for my OS. Lately, whenever I reboot my computer, I always get a Windows Explorer pop up with the C:\WINDOWS\system32 folder on the screen, just as the reboot finishes. I just close it out and go on about my work. But why is it doing that? It never used to do that. Anyway to stop it?

See if there is anything in this thread that may help. Usually caused by an incomplete entry in the startup programs,
possibly left by a failed or incomplete program uninstall.
