    Hello everyone!
I'm new at the forum, so i'm going direct to the point.

I'm trying to encode a video (x264, mp4) and add subtitles to it, how can I do that?
*NOTE: I want to choose the font..

I've tried: AVIDEMUX, MEDIACODER (new versions don't allow to choose color of the subtitle), MKVTOOLNIX, ANY VIDEO CONVERTER, HANDBRAKE and others softwares.
*I don't want just mux the subtitle with the video, I want to embed the subtitle.

  3. Or XviD4PSP, also using SSA subs.

The reason we both suggest SSA is that it has styles (color, font, size, position, etc.) included as part of the file and those will be used by the encoder.

I've listened about .ssa, but how can I put my font?
I've tried AegiSUB, but I don't know how to put the font in all lines, just not in one (put the font in all lines at one time).

Can't you select all lines in aegisub? Ctrl-a maybe.

Or try freemake video converter. You can adjust font and size. But be careful when you install it, lots of adware!!!

I use Substation Alpha for this. Just set up a Style and then save the file. It'll switch over to the font you chose, as well as the other styles. AegisSub can do the same in Subtitles->Styles Manager. Or open the SSA/ASS file in Notepad and replace one font with another. Do a global replace if you have to (Edit->Replace).

I did with Aegisub, but how can I know that worked? Because don't show on lines that the font is there...
    It's automatically?

Open the SSA subtitle in such as notepad. It should look like below. I have highlighted the style which shows the Arial font for that style. Notice in the dialogue section each line that uses MAIN will use the style designated in v4 styles section.
