  1. I have some .aiff recordings from my iphone that i want to convert to another format in order to use as ringtones for my nokia phone. I think supported formats may be .mp3, .wav and .aac. Whats the best formats to use with the least distortion upon output?

  3. For sure but i guess, this will result on the biggest filesize possible. Among the other options which would you recommend?

  4. On a phone I doubt you would hear the difference between any of the formats at 192 kb/s or greater. try them all and see what you like.

  5. Ok but since its going to be lossless after all i decided to trim it. What software can i use for .aiff? I tried audacity, but it plays with distorition, and i tried goldwave but it says only mono or stereo files are supported. As far as i know, it is stereo.

If you recorded audio with your iPhone it's not stereo(unless it's an iPhone 5).
