    I was wondering if there was a free codec or an inexpensive codec that i can download to allow editing of XDCAM video's in TMPG Video mastering software.

    What's your ultimate goal? The only consumer level software that open XDCAM OP1a files (that I am aware of) are VLC and ffmpeg.

    If you are trying to open XDCam right off a camera disk you're pretty much restricted to pro software -- Avid, Premiere Pro and Vegas Pro.
