So, I've got this video, that loops a half hour of video for 4 hours, to a 4 hour soundtrack. And to me, it seems a bit wasteful to use up all that video space on what is really just the same video repeated 8 times.
Also, the soundtrack doesn't have to be perfectly in sync for this to work, if something is off a few seconds, won't matter, the audio doesn't synchronize to the video.
So, given these circumstances, to me it would make sense, if it were possible, to somehow make some sort of file or container that had an isolated half hour of the video loop, while playing the entire soundtrack.
I've managed to isolate the 30 minutes I'd like to loop in a silent mpg. Is it possible to create such a thing, something that loops this video to the soundtrack?
Odd request I know, just curious if it could be done.

There are no containers the support this feature , and I don't think any players support this either (looping video but not audio)
If there are no target restrictions (it's for computer playback only) , you can play it with an avisynth script that loops the 30min video 8x and the audio once
